Information
The Information foldout is read-only. It provides visual feedback to help tweak the Quality Settings.
On the left column, metrics are displayed. Values appear green when considered valid and orange when considered too low or too high. These colors are purely informative and won't inhibit impostor generation.
Metrics include:
- The total number of POVs (computed differently for UV sphere and Pseudo-Fibonacci sphere baking).
- The Atlas POV size — e.g. 15×15 means 15 POVs per line and per column.
- Single POV resolution.
- Atlas coverage — if it is an integer, coverage is 100%; otherwise there will be blank slots in the atlas. 100% is better but not required.
- Unused memory — the estimated memory held by blank slots in the grid. This is 0 when coverage is 100%.
On the right are three tabs for more visual information:
| Tab | Purpose |
|---|---|
| POVs | Visualize the longitude / latitude coverage. A great helper when tweaking Quality Settings. Orbit with the mouse for a clearer view. |
| Layout | Visualize the atlas layout. Filled slots are green, blank slots are red. |
| Preview | Visualize how pixelated each single POV will be, using the actual objects entered in the Target foldout. Orbit with the mouse as well. |
